Senior Specialist, Social Media Marketing

The Institutional Social Media Marketing Sr. Specialist will be responsible for the daily management and oversight of Institutional’s social media channels, Ambassador Program and provide direction to the Social Media Response team (SMRT).  Specifically, this individual will be responsible for ensuring we are reaching the right audience with the right message/content on the right channel via organic and paid strategies by optimizing our channels to drive brand awareness, perceptions and generate leads.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with internal SMEs and agencies to develop the right go to market content strategy
  • Lead our social channel content strategy and calendar  supporting  business and marketing objectives
  • Discover and launch new social technologies  (IE: Chatbots, SMS)
  • Oversee SMRT management and strategy
  • Stay on top of industry news to ensure we are providing timely and relevant content for target audience
  • Ensure social tactics align with our campaign  and editorial strategy
  • Provide Ambassadors with timely/relevant ideas and guidance Facilitate social targeting and promotion across social channels
  • Oversee Social Media agency performance and contract
  • Manage and prioritize projects including competitive/audience  analysis and channel performance metrics
  • Sponsored content oversight with Ad buying agency
  • Manage all standing meetings with the agencies; including planning and strategy meetings, status meetings, and quarterly business reviews
  • Manage budget, priorities and goals
  • Serve as the primary contact with agency
  • Serve as a daily resource to Social Media Consultant(s)
  • Partner with internal stakeholders and Director, Digital Marketing to evolve social media strategy that supports our growing business needs (i.e. Social Sales)
  • Lead social coverage supporting TD Ameritrade Intuitional and industry events
  • Research and stay up to date on social media trends, platforms and developments
  • Monitor trends, industry and competitor’s social activity to develop social opportunities and drive engagement
  • Liaison with Retail Social Marketing team to ensure the proper infrastructure and workflows are in place
  • Partner with compliance and oversight to understand all the regulatory requirements and ensure marketing is within compliance
  • Partner with service teams to ensure that Marketing is helping better serve existing clients
  • Retain all social post files for Marketing Audit, regulatory and compliance
  • Establish metrics and report monthly based on channel KPIs
  • Provide analysis and insights on Ambassador program
  • Conduct bi-annual competitive analysis
  • Analyze social media results to uncover trends and inform content and sponsored content strategy

Requirements:

  • 4 Year College Degree Required
  • Candidates must have at least 3-5 years of relevant experience in digital marketing and communications and/or related fields including research, advertising, management consulting, media and publishing preferred
  • A demonstrated track record of helping develop and execute successful social strategies/programs
  • An individual with a high sense of urgency and bent for taking action
  • Strong social writing/engagement skills and project management skills are critical
  • Strong ability to identify new/innovative ways to use social to reach our target audience
  • High attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent relationship management and interpersonal skills
  • Preferably experience in: working for or with a creative agency, in regulated industry and with business-to-business marketing
  • Preferably experience in working within a regulated industry
  • Military education or experience may be considered in lieu of civilian requirements listed
