Advertising, After 5-Style

Sneak out a few minutes before 5, spend some time with your fellow AAF Omaha members and step inside an AAF Omaha member’s business or area hot spot. It’s all part of AAF Omaha AdNights. It’s a darned good excuse to NOT stay late at the office for once.

Speakers

We are looking for professionals in the advertising/marketing industry who are willing to share their knowledge and experience with our club. Please email aafomaha.teri@gmail.com if you are interested in speaking about one of the topics above.

“6 in 60″

Each quarter, AAF Omaha hosts an affordable, after-hours professional development and networking event. Each event features a panel of six advertising and marketing professionals who are all experts on a specific topic. During the event, the panelists share firsthand experience and advice so that attendees can learn not only best practices, but also about rising trends in the industry. Attendees even have the opportunity to ask questions and network with panelists once the 60-minute discussion is complete. Our goals with each event are to:

Public Service

Each year, AAF Omaha assembles a Public Service Committee which chooses a local non-profit organization to receive a comprehensive advertising campaign at little or no cost. The work produced by the committee has achieved critical acclaim and has received back-to-back-to-back Club Achievement Awards from the American Advertising Federation.
Recent campaign recipients include The Hope Center, Youth Emergency Services, Shaken Baby Task Force, The Kim Foundation/Project Relate, Children’s Respite Care Center and Domestic Violence Coordinating Council, Celiac Sprue Association, Midwest Heart Connection, RedBasket.org, Heartland Hope Mission and Coalition on Human Trafficking.

Put your professional talents to work for your community. Contact Rob Baker or Bob Mancuso today to get involved in AAF Omaha’s public service opportunities.

Special Events

Pro-bono campaign work and killer events don’t come without a cost. To keep prices reasonable while still offering value and benefit for members, AAF Omaha hosts 4 to 5 special events annually to raise money for educational programming and to fund a fully integrated marketing campaign for one non-profit organization. Special events are a great way to raise money for AAF Omaha and to make new business connections.
Plan to attend our next Special event!

Bowl-O-Rama

Each January, ad professionals polish off their bowling shoes and start throwing strikes in hopes of attaining the vaunted AAF Omaha Bowl-O-Rama trophy. Gather your team of 4 to 6 bowlers and register now. Lanes fill up fast.
2017 Bowl-O-Rama tentative date is Friday, January 13, 2017.

AdWars

You Can’t Handle the Trivia!

The AdWars team competition tests your knowledge of advertising practices, terminology and trivia. But it’s anything but trivial (just ask someone from the 2016 AAF Omaha AdWars championship team from Bailey Lauerman). It’s a brutal display of seemingly useless terms and acronyms. It’s a grueling and treacherous evening of famous jingles and tag lines. It’s always fun!
